Our mission is to shape a longevity society by mixing design (d-) with evidence-based research, service innovation, and emergent technologies, to build healthy and equitable multi-generational products, environments, and cultures.

d-mix lab is an international collective of design practitioners and academic researchers. We work across scales, applying design theories, research, and practices to individual products, complex services, and city systems alike.

The lab combines human-centered design and system design methodologies. This creates a unique mixed-methods approach, integrating qualitative ethnographic research with quantitative analysis. Using these methods, d-mix lab researchers reveal design opportunities in response to the complex challenges of changing demographics.
